I hope the marathon went well.

I wanted to let you know about our game today. First off, I wanted to thank Johan for his support. We had an absolute blast!

Only 5 kids showed up: Ethan “White Shoes”, Milo – “the scoring machine”, Simon – “Magneto”, Dawson – “the flash”, and Gavin – “the one man defender”.

We played the well dressed and well coached kids from St. Catherine’s. Their coach said that he would lend us some players if we wanted, but we decided against it. Instead, one of the sisters from the opponent asked if she could play on our team, so we said sure. We also decided that to offer up subs, Mac and Noah, were officially deputized as Ravens.

We thought that it may get ugly, but when the score @ the half was 2-1…….RAVENS, we could possibly win the gameJ

The sister, Shya, was incredible!! She sparked a fire in our team, that had them firing on all 8 cylinders. Mac and Noah even held their ground, and had an absolute blast. The combination of Simon (goalie) and Gavin (defense) was amazing. Simon made some of the most incredible saves ever, and Gavin was a wrecking machine back there.

Well, one could never have written a better ending for the game.

The tigers tied up the game shortly after the 2^nd half 2-2. With about 10 minutes left in the game, they took the lead 2-3. With only about 5 minutes left, Milo was a man possessed. With the combination of he and Shya, the sister, they took the ball down and tied the game.

After kickoff, we got the ball back and literally as time was running out, Milo took the ball down all by himself and scored what Johan and I are claiming, “the winning goal.” The ref said that it did not count because time had expired, even though the ball was still in play. No matter, the kids rallied and had a blast.

"Tell the boys their track is still getting worked on. It's been too freaking cold to work in the garage. I got a little buddy propane heater. Too little it turns out but it helps anyway.
I did get the plexi cut for the water crossing working on the wood for the bridge and built up some elevation changes.
I also made a piece you can flip over on the front strait with a cross over on the other side. It turns the two lanes into one long one."

It's our 11th anniversary on the 31st. Seeing how Lisa's wedding ring has been MIA, Nana Blanche sent out her parents wedding bands and her diamond that Grampa John gave her. I sent them out to our friends from Steamboat that had originally made our rings way back when, along with the checkerboard piece that was left over from the original rings and was made into cuff links. They had free reign to do what ever they thought Lisa would be stoked on and crafted this up. She thinks she's getting a used computer from our office for an anniversary present. Little guys started soccer this past weekend. Saturdays are gonna be busy.

We went up to the cabin this weekend for the first time since the end of May! As soon as we crossed the bridge into town things felt different. We were out of the city!

We went fishing up Foss River Road at a couple of fishing holes. Steelhead and Rainbows were suppossed to lurk there.

As I was untangling Milo's line, Mac reeled in the first of the morning. He got it to the shore and was like "Dad, I got a fish!" We loaded up the hook with another illegal worm and boom, he got another one.

Mac had two Rainbows under his belt and Milo was getting pissed. Till he got the biggest one of the day.

We found a rope swing. The boys wore wetsuits as the waters a little glacial.

Phase two or three of the Skykomish reformation is going down this summer. They dug 15 feet down, pounded huge steel barriers into the ground and removed all the oil ridden soil then filled it up with gravel and will repave. The white building was a brothel way back when, these days it's not being used because some historic thingy makes it cost too much to get the sewer up to par. A mysterious fire was started in there a while back...

The Peps group got together for the kids annual birthday parties. Milo's group has been together for 8 years now. Peps started out with 13 moms that just had kids and would meet every week.
